Ramblings: Chapter One out sooner than I expected. I'm not so sure I like it though, so I may be
revising it. Up to you to decide whether or not it's needed. ^_^ It's also longer, like I promised it
would be. I really can't think of much else to say, except...

Thank you to everybody to reviewed! ^_^ They helped me to get this out faster; also, Masaki-chan,
I hope you like this chapter as much as you liked the Prologue. Enjoy!

Submission of the Heart (Chapter One)

========================================================================

A bird's chirping roused him from his sleep, and opening his eyes, Yugi peered around his room, registering the arm that was wrapped securely around his waist. A small smile crossing his face, he carefully lifted Yami's arm, sliding out from under it before setting it back down. For another moment, he took the time to observe his guardian and lover as he slept, before slipping into the chair at his desk, easily answering the rest of the problems now that he'd had a good night's sleep.

He hummed softly to himself, getting up and gathering up the clothes for that day, heading into the bathroom across the hall. Changing quickly into the tan khakis and loose-fitting, white shirt, he padded back into his room, eyes falling on the sole piece of jewelry he owned. The smile on his face widened somewhat as he picked it up, gazing at the sole inscription within the band:

"For my light."

The ring had been a birthday gift from Yami, and although he had no idea how the former had managed to acquire it, Yugi cherished it dearly, having placed it on a thin gold necklace so it had a less chance of getting damaged.

Gently, he unclasped the necklace and re-clasped it around his neck. Now biting his lip, Yugi debated whether or not to wake the still sleeping guardian up, before shaking his head against it. "I'll leave him a note..." he murmured softly, deciding to leave his Sennen Puzzle as well. A few more minutes passed, before the small teenager slipped out of the door, his Sennen Puzzle holding down a folded note.

"Kaiba-sama, he has just left the building." Keeping his eyes fixed upon Yugi, the man continued to whisper into the microphone, tone of voice slightly muffled with the residue of sleep, "Should I get him?"

Kaiba's voice, wide-awake, crackled through his headset, "No. Follow him until he's in a spot where there's less chance of you being seen." A pause. "After all, Kiyala, we can't have him suspecting something's up." Another pause. "Does he happen to be wearing anything around his neck?"

"Whatever you say, Kaiba-sama." Waiting for Yugi to turn the corner, Kiyala then answered the other question, "The kid's dressed in khakis and a button-up shirt. Nothing around his neck."

He heard the person on the other end of the communication breathe a slight sigh of relief, "Good. Continue."

Taking the headset off, Kiyala started the engine, then followed the way Yugi had went at a crawl, body tensed to spring should he spot an opportunity. It finally came as the boy turned once more, seemingly unaware of the fact that he was being followed, heading closer to the dark shadows of an alley.

A slow smile creeping onto his face, Kiyala said simply, "Perfect."

Yugi whistled cheerfully as he walked along the streets, taking the short-cut to the arcade, wondering if Jounouchi or Honda were there yet. He gave a soft laugh; they probably wouldn't get there until half an hour after the planned time. "I wonder if Yami's up yet..." he muttered, then paused at the entrance to an alley, listening. "Strange...I thought I heard something..." Shaking his head, he took another step forward, starting as a car door slammed, and footsteps came closer.

Whirling around, violet eyes widened at the sight of the other's dark brown eyes. "Kaiba-sama's going to be please," the man stated lightly, taking yet another step forward.

"K-Kaiba-kun?!" Taking a step backwards, Yugi glanced around wildly, before darting right, crying out as a hand grabbed his arm, wrenching it out of its socket. Pain shot through his arm, before it dulled numbly. Hanging limply from the stranger's hand, his vision swum, fading in and out at an alarming rate, before he fell into the inky blackness.

With a small grunt of satisfaction, Kiyala set Yugi down onto the ground, jerkily relocating the other's dislocated shoulder, before picking him up and heading towards his car.

He never noticed the picture that had slipped from his pocket, landing onto the ground.

To say that Yami was upset could be considered an understatement as the mentioned stared at the note in his hand, staring at the neatly printed kanji and hiragana. He glanced at the Sennen Puzzle held from his other hand, a groan escaping him, as he fell back onto the bed. "Aibou..." He shook his head, "How in the world am I supposed to help you if you get in trouble?!" A sigh bubbled from his throat, and he set Yugi's Sennen Puzzle on the desk, storming out the room and down the stairs, determined to find his wayward lover.

Twenty minutes later, he arrived at the arcade, and entering the building, he glanced around, spotting a familiar blonde-haired teenager. "Oi, Jounouchi!" He shouted, jogging over to him.

"Yami?" Blinking in alarm, Jounouchi raised an eyebrow, "Hey, did you decide to take Yugi's place or something?"

Crimson eyes hardened as Yami stared at him, "What? He's not here with you?"

Brown eyes blinked again, "Uh...why would I ask you if he was here?" Seeing the concern that now dominated the other's gaze, Jounouchi questioned uncertainly, "Is something wrong?"

"He told me in the note he left for me, that he went to meet, and I quote, 'Jounouchi-kun and Honda-kun at the arcade'."

Consciousness slowly returning to him, Yugi gazed around the room dazedly, left shoulder throbbing dully with pain. "Where am I?" he asked the empty room, tensing as he heard a *click*. The vast room's doors opening, Kaiba stepped in, eyes eyeing him hungrily, before he walked over, sitting next to Yugi on the bed.

"You're awake." Gazing at the taut form before him, Kaiba reached one hand up, fingering the rope that bounded Yugi's wrists tightly to the headboard. The hand moved down his arms, along his face, stopping as fingers brushed against the cool metal of the thin chain. Curiousity getting the better of him, Kaiba pulled the necklace out of the other's shirt, twirling the ring between his fingers. "Nice...who gave it to you?"

Blue gaze fell upon the inscription, and he chuckled softly, letting it go. "So...you and Yami are closer than just 'brothers'. Interesting...I'm afraid that things are going to change, though, Yugi." He tilted Yugi's chin up, running his thumb gently against the smaller boy's bottom lip, "From this day forth, you are mine. Yami's no longer your lover. I am." He smiled thinly, "Got that?"

"No." Defiantly, Yugi's eyes flashed, "I pledged myself to Yami, and you can't make me renounce my love for him." He whimpered softly as a larger hand connected with his face in a slap. He closed his eyes, only to open them as he felt a short-lived pain as the necklace was yanked from around his neck. Now he stared at the dangling ring, eyes wide, "K-Kaiba-kun..."

"I'm more than willing to smash this, Yugi. After all, it's nothing more than crystal backed by metal. The engraving is nothing more than words." His eyes captured Yugi's, "So fragile, and so easily destroyed. Tell me, Yugi, do you want me to destroy it? Smash it?" He got off the bed, letting the necklace clatter to the floor, before raising his shoe, poising to bring it down upon the ring.

"NO!" Desperately, Yugi struggled against the binds, tears stinging his vision, "Please, Kaiba-kun, don't!" His whole being shook as he broke down, sobbing quietly, "I-I'll do what you tell me too. Just...please don't..."

"Now that wasn't so hard, after all, was it?" Settling back down on the bed once more, the ring forgotten--to Kaiba, at least--Kaiba tenderly wiped the tears away. "We'll start off slow, Yugi, I promise." He smiled a dark smile, "How far have you and Yami got?"

"A-Ano..."[1] Still trembling, Yugi forced himself not to flinch as the hands brushed against him, "...kissing?"

"So...you're still a virgin?" Smile darkening somewhat, Kaiba captured Yugi's lips, disallowing any reply.

*This is more than I could've expected...looks like I'll have to teach him everything. Especially, how to obey to commands. For the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company deserves a lover who will do anything.*

End Musings: o_O; Yes, I believe that sucked. >_ around in my mind throughout school hours, before I finally decided to write it out today. It didn't
turn out as expected...weird...anyways...I still hope you enjoyed it. (Masaki-chan especially!)
Any comments/suggestions/questions can be sent on over to skitsune75@hotmail.com. Reviews
welcome as well. Maybe they'll help me to get out Chapter Two before a month's time is up.
Who knows? ^_^ Oh! KaibaxYugi lemon in next chapter. (what y'all been waiting for, ne? ^_-)

Just a random question out there for ya'll who can draw: Anyone willing to do fanart for some of
my YGO fics? I can't draw, 'cause the majority of my talent (as if I have any) lies in my writing.
But I've been wanting some fanart to put up on my site. E-Mail me if you're interested? I'd be
very, very, very, very, very, *VERY* grateful! Who knows...you might just get something in re-
turn. ^_^

Fic Challenge: (wow, a real one) What if a simple mistake on Yugi's behalf causes everyone
else--including Yami--to abandon him when he really needs help the most? The mistake could be
anything, including someone gets hurt due to his slight carelessness; the incident where he needs
help? Well...that could be a number of things too...anyone up to the challenge?
