Alright...I’m still not 100% sure where this fic is going...but, I’ve come up with a few ideas to spice things up. What do you all think? More? Should I end it soon and start on something else? I need ideas here! And um...I’m also gonna start taking requests for fics...as long as I’m familiar with the series and characters...just email me (RocielSama@hotmail.com) and let me know what kind of fic you want, as well as what kinda plot, etc, and I’ll let you know if I’m up to writing it or not. Anyway, enough of my babbling (do you all even read this?) Time for the fic! (OK, so this chapter’s gonna suck lol...)

~CHAPTER 8~

Shuuichi slowly blinked his eyes open and frowned. Yuki’s warm embrace had left him. Sighing, Shuuichi sat up, figuring Yuki had either gone out, was working, or was making them breakfast. The pink haired boy rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and slid out of his bed.

Shuuichi walked out to find Yuki sitting on the couch, drinking some coffee and staring at the screen of his laptop like he expected a book to write itself.

“Ohayou, Yuki!” Shuuichi yawned, walking over to take a seat next to his blonde lover. Yuki looked up from his laptop to watch Shuuichi as he walked, inwardly smiling and glad the brat was back.

“Ohayou...” Yuki said, smiling a little as Shuuichi’s arms curled around his waist and a soft kiss was placed on his neck.

“Ne Yuki...are we going to unpack my stuff today? Can we go out to breakfast first if we are?” Shuuichi’s violet eyes sparkled up at the writer as Yuki answered.

“Yes...we’ll unpack your things. And breakfast would sound good if not for the fact that it’s already past lunchtime. You sleep too long...”

“You’re mean, Yuki!” Shuuichi pouted, mouth turning back into a smile only a second later. “First I need to call Hiro...I promised him I’d let him know if you’d taken me back or not...he was so worried that he’d ruined our lives...”

Shuuichi stopped his babbling and walked to the phone as Yuki frowned slightly. He was still uneasy about Shuuichi still being friends with Hiro...he didn’t want a repeat of the situation they just got out of. Shuuichi dialed the number, listening to the mechanical ringing on the other end until Hiro picked up.

“Moshi moshi?” Hiro’s voice came through the other side, along with the faint fading note of a guitar chord. Hiro must be working on some music, Shuuichi thought with a smile.

“Ah! Hiro!” Shuuichi said, joy showing through his voice, Hiro already guessing what Yuki had said just by the pure tone of it.

“He took you back?” Hiro asked just to be sure.

“HAI! I’m so happy!” Shuuichi chimed through the phone. Hiro was glad that they were back together...Hiro hadn’t ruined the life of the one his heart belonged to.

“Yokatta...I was hoping he’d say that...I...realize now all I really want is for you to be happy...and even though Yuki can be a real jerk sometimes, you’re happy with him and that’s what matters to me...” Hiro said, sighing softly. He did mean it...but of course it didn’t help him feel any less lonely...Hiro wanted so much to find the right person...and ever since high school he’d been almost positive Shuuichi was the one...but obviously he was wrong.

Shuuichi smiled to himself, glad things were getting back to semi-normal. He could hint the sadness in Hiro’s voice, however, and it made Shuuichi feel bad that Hiro didn’t have anyone...perhaps if Hiro had confessed his feelings before Shuuichi met Yuki things could have worked between them...but that was in the past now. “Well, I need to go...Yuki and I are going out to lunch!”

Hiro chuckled softly at Shuuichi’s cheerfulness. “Yeah, I need to go too...Suuguru and I are meeting in the studio to work on the backing tracks to some songs you have yet to write...if you know what I mean. Ja ne, Shuuichi...”

“Ja!” Shuuichi plopped down the phone and smirked...he wanted Hiro to be happy too, and Shuuichi was formulating the perfect plan in his mind...he was going to set up Hiro with someone...and he already had someone in mind. He laughed evilly himself, earning a strange look from Yuki.

“What are you planning to do this time?” Yuki asked, walking into the kitchen to return his used coffee mug to the kitchen sink. Shuuichi padded in after him, smirk still on his face.

“I’m going to set Hiro up with someone! It’ll be great!” Shuuichi beamed. Yuki was somewhat relieved about this...maybe whoever Shuuichi set him up with would get Hiro’s mind off of Shuuichi...Yuki would feel a lot better if that DID happen.

“Good to know you’re being constructive. Now lets go, I’m hungry...” Yuki said, watching the pink haired boy bounce off to get ready to go.

Touma sat in his office, chair turned to look out the window. After he left the bar, he had come straight to his office...he still didn’t feel like going home, and he really didn’t have any other place to go. He’d had a lot to think about that night...Eiri-san getting back with Shuuichi...not that Touma had anything against the boy personally, but he was interfering with his dear Yuki’s life, something Touma was VERY uneasy about...as well as Ryuuichi getting with Tatsuha.

Sighing and looking down, Touma thought back to their Nittle Grasper days. Sure Touma was married to Mika, but she wasn’t always there on the road...and there was someone else that Touma loved almost as much as Yuki...although things never worked quite right between them.

That person...was Sakuma Ryuuichi. When the two had formed the band, Ryuuichi had caught Touma’s eye...the two remained lovers through the Nittle Grasper period, but when things between them weren’t working out quite right and they’d started arguing, Ryuuichi had flown off to America to pursue his solo career...

As well as to get away from Touma for a while. Touma was glad the singer was back, and had hoped to give their little relationship another chance, but Tatsuha had jumped in and stolen Ryuuichi’s heart. The more Touma thought about it, the more he realized that there were some aspects of Ryuuichi he knew nothing about anymore...his biggest concern being how exactly things went when the singer was in the states...did he love anyone there? Why exactly had he agreed to come back so easily? Touma thought it would take more pressuring than it had...

Touma let out a long sigh. He did love Mika, but one of the only reasons he actually went through with marrying her was to be closer to Yuki’s life...to be more a part of it. Of course Yuki had always had kind of a resentment towards the couple, but still...at least he was somewhat closer to the writer.

Touma did wish he had a lover though...well, a male lover. He missed it...but really there was no one he could see himself with. Turning around, Touma decided he better grab something to eat...he was beginning to get a little light headed. He slowly got up and walked out of his office, tons of things on his mind...

Why was everything not working out the way he’d planned it to?

A few days later, Shuuichi’s things were all put away. After that first night, Shuuichi had been sleeping on the couch...he didn’t mind, cause he was at least at Yuki’s place, but he did miss spending the night wrapped up in his love’s arms. Come to think of it...they hadn’t even made love since they got back together. All they’d had was a few soft kisses...not that Shuuichi minded, but still, he wondered why Yuki didn’t want to do anything else...

The only other drag though was that he had to share the couch with Tatsuha. Well, since it was a corner couch, Shuuichi got one wall and Tatsuha got the other, but it got quite annoying when the other talked in his sleep or snored. But Shuuichi liked Tatsuha more now that he wasn’t trying to sleep with him...he was kinda fun to talk to...but he still got on Yuki’s nerves.

Shuuichi had been spending his free time planning out what exactly he was going to do to get Hiro a lover. He had a brilliant plan...he just had to wait to carry it out. And he had to make sure it could work...matchmaking was harder than Shuuichi had realized it was.

Shuuichi currently was working on a grilled cheese sandwich. Yuki had gone out...somewhere, so Shuuichi was left to fend for himself for lunch. Grilled cheese sandwiches were easy to make, so that’s what the singer decided he was going to have.

Just as he was about to flip the sandwich, someone knocked at the door. He quickly flipped it, just so he didn’t burn the first side, and ran to the door, surprised to see Ryuuichi standing there. “Shuuichi!” Ryuuichi beamed, glomping the startled violet eyed boy. “Long time no see! How are you na no da?” Ryuuichi asked, smiling as he huggled the younger boy.

“Ah Ryuuichi! I’m fine...just making some lunch. Care to join me?” Shuuichi smiled, squirming out of Ryuuichi’s tight grasp.

“Sure! I thought I smelled something cooking!” The two walked into the kitchen and Shuuichi finished cooking, smiling as he set the plates down on the table.

“What’s new?” Shuuichi asked, taking a big bite of the sandwich. It had been a long time since Shuuichi had seen the singer, and he really didn’t know how he was doing.

“Ouu! I need to tell you something! But you can’t tell Yuki, okay? Its a secret so far! Just between me and you okees?” Ryuuichi said, bouncing in his seat as he giggled to himself.

Shuuichi wondered what on earth had Ryuuichi so excited. “I promise I won’t tell...what is it?”

Ryuuichi leaned in to whisper, even though the two were quite alone in the place. “I’m in love with Tatsu-chan! And he loves me too! Isn’t that exciting?! I think I finally found someone Shuuichi!” Ryuuichi giggled to himself and went on... “And if you marry Yuki and I marry Tatsu-chan we’ll be brothers!” Ryuuichi huggled Shuuichi as Shuuichi’s smile turned into a bit of a frown.

“I doubt Yuki and I will ever get married somehow...he just doesn’t seem like the type that would do that. Things still aren’t back to normal with us...” Shuuichi’s eyes slightly began to get teary as he poked at his sandwich. “I donno if things will ever be normal again...”

“Of course they’ll go back to normal, Shuuichi! Yuki loves you! He just needs more time to recover! And I wouldn’t count out him proposing...you never know...these Uesugi brothers sure are unpredictable!” Ryuuichi beamed, gobbling down his sandwich and trying to feed some to the ever present Kumagoro.

Shuuichi felt a little better at the words of the other man, but he was still a little upset. He wanted things just the way they were with Yuki... “So why are you here, Ryuuichi?” Shuuichi asked, raising an eyebrow in question.

“Well I came to visit you and see how you were! And I also came to get Tatsuha to go to the park...but he’s not back yet I see...so while I wait I can talk to you! Shuuichi! We need to sing together again! I was thinking about maybe recording a duet and releasing it...doesn’t that sound like a fun idea Shuuichi?” Ryuuichi was on a roll, eyes bright as he talked.

“Ah...sounds like lots of fun Ryuuichi...” But Shuuichi was cut off by the appearance of Tatsuha. Ryuuichi immediately jumped up and glomped the younger Uesugi brother, sending them both sprawled out to the ground.

“I thought you’d never get back, na no da!” Ryuuichi said, kissing his cheek lightly. Tatsuha got up and helped Ryuuichi up, smiling the whole time.

“Ready to go?” He asked, pulling Ryuuichi into a tight embrace.

“Hai!” The two walked out arm in arm, leaving an upset Shuuichi behind. Ryuuichi hadn’t even said bye...but that wasn’t what was bugging him. It was the fact that the two looked so happy together...and it made him wish that him and Yuki could be that close and that expressive. Shuuichi wondered if he’d ever get Yuki to open up...he’d come so close when he’d messed up. Could he ever get Yuki there again?

Shuuichi sure as hell was determined to try...

Yay! I thought I’d never get that chapter done x.x I had a bit of writer’s block in the middle...but I got it done before the end of the day, so I’m happy about that! I hope it came out okay...I have some ideas, its just working them in that’s the problem. Oh yeah...you all have any idea who Shuuichi’s setting Hiro up with? That’ll be revealed in chapter 9!
